Pink Floyd - Green Is the Colour (An Hour With Pink Floyd, KQED)
Long ago in a far north town in an upstairs bedroom we would drink our beers underage and put our cigs out in an ashtray made from a carburetor, while our good friend who just passed this last Tuesday, Tommy Kjera, would play Pink Floyd for us. He was a fan well before most had ever heard them, certainly before I had, and if there’s an afterlife then he’s listening still because if anyone deserves that afterlife, it’s Tommy - he was among the best of us.
This is a performance of ‘Green Is The Colour’ that was broadcast live on KQED in San Francisco, USA on 30 April 1970.
